For some people having a home theatre means simply having a big TV, others need a big TV and a DVD player, then there are those who need both of the above plus surround sound and Blu-ray.

Some want a good picture and good sound, others feel that the sound needs to exceed what you would hear in a theatre. So, how can you decide on the best home theatre for you?

The first thing that you should do is visit a retail store and look at some home theatre system in person. This will give you a better idea of what you like and dislike. After looking at the systems in person you should then make a list of what you like and would want from your home theatre system.

Do a little research online. You can look for reviews and ideas from other people who have done the legwork for you already. Then start putting together a plan for what you want, making sure that it fits the size of the room that you will be using, remembering that in the case of home theater, there is such a thing as too big. Dont overdo it, make reasonable decisions, but dont be cheap. You can find deals if you look for them, but going cheap means that you always get what you pay for.

Be sure to get all the proper cables and going wireless might be in your best interest for ease of set-up. In the old days, going wireless would mean having to go well out of most peoples budgets, but the technology has gotten much more affordable and much more mainstream, it really cuts down on the hassle associated with setting up all the speakers. The cables are important, especially if you are going for a high def set-up. You need to be sure to get the right HDMI cables. These can be tricky, but shouldn’t be for most people. Remember, unless you are a tech head, you wont be able to tell the difference from one cable to another. Just pick something in the middle and you will be okay. Nothing too expensive and make sure to avoid the cheapest of the lot.

Technological improvement has lead to a very developed market with a lot of competitions. The product manufactured by the companies must serve the customers. These manufacturers promise for the best quality and long lasting products. The making of the product alone is not reason for the durability of the products. The customers need to follow the instructions given in the user’s manual. When the instructions are not followed, it may lead to damage to the instrument. Hence care is one factor which decides the durability of the product. It may lead to malfunctioning of the device. At times it may lead to accidents also. Hence before using the device the manual must be read thoroughly. This article is about how to destroy car speakers.

One way of destroying your speakers is by intentionally disregarding the maximum wattage that can be passed through the speakers. Let’s say that the maximum wattage that your speakers can take is 100 watts. This does not mean that you cannot connect your speakers to an amplifier that blares out at 300 watts. But if you do connect it to a 300 watt amplifier then you can be pretty sure that the extra power will destroy your speakers in no time.

There is another way of destroying speakers if you do not have your speakers powered by a high-powered amplifier. The speakers can also be destroyed by playing the music at a high volume when your speakers are connected to a low powered amplifier. This is because, playing the music at high volume will create distortion in the sound waves and these distortions can destroy the speakers too. Do not worry if you are not sure of the minimum or the maximum voltage specifications of your speakers; just playing music at very high volume for a prolonged time will surely damage the speakers.

If the above steps do not destroy your speakers then try connecting your speakers to your home stereo system. A sure way of destroying your speakers is to connect it to a home stereo system and playing the music at the maximum possible level. The home stereo system will give a very high output to the speakers and most car speakers are not manufactured to handle such a large output and it will surely ruin your speakers.

If you’re too lazy to do all the work mentioned in the above steps then allow your pets to do the destroying work. Leaving pets unattended in the car is a good way to ruin the speakers. Unattended pets will generally tend to start chewing at a number of items. But most of them prefer your car speakers for chewing and clawing purposes. Leave your pet inside your car and close the doors to see whether the pet starts to take a liking to the taste of your speakers.

Pets can also be used to ruin the device. They get irritated when they listen to unpleasant sounds. If you play tracks with high volume and leave them undisturbed, they will get annoyed and react wildly. They will start to ruin your speakers.

If you have one hell of a lucky speaker and none of the above step works then try to bludgeon the speakers with a heavy object. You can easy a crowbar, an iron hammer, a meat tenderizer, a tire iron or even your kitchen sink to destroy your speakers.

Now that you have learned how to destroy car speakers try it on your car speakers and have fun destroying them.

Tweeters are instruments that are capable of producing very high frequencies. Sometimes it also produces sounds which are the highest limit of the human. The reason for its name is also obtained from high frequency sound from birds. These tweeters are generally attached with the speaker to produce much higher sound. It has to be fixed to the speaker using frequency crossover. This ensures no damage to tweeter since it might get damaged if it receives the same power as that of the speaker. The function of the crossover is to adjust the frequency in the optimal way and also transmit enough power so as to not damage the tweeter. The sound is generally split in such a way between both woofer and the tweeter in such a way that the sound with high frequency is taken by tweeter and the low frequency by woofer. This connection can be learnt by reading this article on how to wire a tweeter to a speaker.

Most of the people think that the tweeter can be connected directly to the speaker. But this concept is only partially correct. The tweeter is not supposed to receive the same intensity of power as the woofer or speaker does. The tweeter can receive high frequency sound waves whereas the speaker or woofer can take only low frequency sound waves. If the tweeter is connected directly to the speaker the tweeter may get damaged and so, to prevent this damage you also want a frequency crossover. Only in presence of this frequency crossover you can say that the installation of tweeter - speaker circuit is complete.

This article includes the things that are required to make the installation of this circuit complete and the instructions that will guide you to connect the circuit in the correct order and hence prevent the tweeter getting damaged. The things that you need are tweeter, speaker, crossover cable, screw driver, soldering iron and solder. Make all these things ready before you start the work to save your valuable time.

Secondly, the grill of the speaker is removed. Sometimes based on the car, the panel may also be removed before removing the speaker. After removing the panel or the grill, the speaker is removed. This can be done with the help of screwdriver to remove the screws that are used for supporting the speaker. Then the wiring is disconnected.

The input leads of the crossover’s cable are soldered to the output leads or output wires of the stereo’s speaker carefully. Soldering is done using the solder iron and soldering device. This will play the role of the speaker wires that were actually connected to the stock speakers of your car. Care should be taken to note that the negative leads are connected together and the positive leads are connected together.

While soldering one point should be kept clear that is the positive terminal of the cross over must be connected to the positive terminal of the speaker and in the same way the two negative terminals must be connected to each other.

Now connect the high frequency leads to the tweeter and the low frequency to the woofer. While making this connections one must clearly observe if the connection are done properly. That is positive terminal is connected with positive and negative to negative terminals.

Thus we have learnt How to Wire a Tweeter to a Speaker with ease from this article.

This article is useful for all music lovers who want to listen to good music even while driving. Often we encounter many problems with the speakers like hissing sound or rattling or sometimes one of the speakers may dielectric. If that is case let us learn how to fix car stereo speakers without the help of audio professionals by following simple steps and minor repair works for the replacement of full speaker set.

To complete this task you will require a screw driver, car owner`s manual, replacement speakers, glue and a 9-volt battery.

With the help of your car`s manual first locate the position of the speakers. The speakers will either be mounted on the door or at the rear end of the vehicle. Now check whether there are any screws holding the speakers. Mostly there will be a grill protecting the speakers. In such a case remove the screws holding the grill. But if there are no screws present then try to pry the grill with the help of a butter-knife or with the help of a flat-head screw driver.

If you are unable to remove the grill, consult your car owner`s manual to check how to remove the dash board pads or door panel. After the removal of the dash board covers, remove the screws holding the speakers in its place. The speakers will be connected with the help of a harness to the doors. Remove this harness for completely detaching the speakers. You can access the speakers from inside the car if it is top mounted or from the trunk if it is bottom mounted.

To check whether the speakers are working properly, tighten the speaker`s butt connector. Now check whether there are any short behaviors by connecting the speakers to a 9-volt battery after disconnecting the speaker from the car battery. if there is a ‘pop’ or a ‘thump’ sound then the speaker is fine. Next check whether there is any warping present. Simple cracks can be fixed by using some special adhesives. However if the cracks are severe then it is probably a suitable time for replacing the speakers.

Here is a list of probable causes for damage of speakers. They are magnetic coil damage, short circuit, fuse damage and cracks in the cone. Lets look how to tackle each of these. Fuses associated with speakers are in voice coil and in the wiring. We can see them directly . If damaged just replace them with new ones and speakers will start working.

The other parts like voice coil, etc. are checked for damage. If this coil or the magnet is repaired, the speaker must be replaced. The wires must also be checked for any signs of a short circuiting. In this case the wiring has to be changed. The fuses must also be checked and repaired if there is any problem in that.

With the help of these steps you can easily fix or replace your car stereo speakers by yourself and save loads of money.

If you have looked around the internet at all,you have seen the high prices of subwoofers and may not be pleased with what you are seeing. Especially if you are on a budget like myself. These days it is more important than ever to save money on everything possible.

The Onkyo SKE204 Subwoofer is a good buy according to the price and the specs of this speaker but let’s look at some other information on these speakers. Not everyone has the same opinion on things so I will just put the facts out there and allow you to decide on your own.

First off as we already know the Onkyo skw204 Bass Reflex Powered Subwoofer Black is very reasonably priced for it’s specs. It claims to put out some great deep bass and allow you to enjoy the experience of a subwoofer without paying an arm and a leg. I have looked over this claim and have found a few mixed feelings - as I said different people… different opinions.

There was one user that said he loved the system and it had the ability to put out high quality bass without that “one note” sound that many other liked-priced subwoofers. As you know there is almost nothing more annoying than thinking you have a great buy and then finding out that even thought you saved some money you won’t be getting the experience you had hoped for.

There seems to be a bit of a problem with this speakers when it is cranked up loud. The grill and box rattle if the volume is too high - I’m not sure what the user considered “too high” but from all of the other feedback I am going to say you would have to crank it up pretty loud to have this problem. If you are interested in a normal movie or music experience,like in the theaters you should be safe. On the other hand though - if you are interested in really crankin up the party - you might want to invest in another speakers that won’t rattle when it is turned up so high.

Do you have a lot of wires that you need to run near this speaker? If you do that may be a problem since the speaker is pretty sensitive to other wires that run nearby or over it’s wires. Once again it’s a preference thing,if you don’t have wires to run over it you do not have to worry about this con of the Onkyo skw204 Bass Reflex Powered Subwoofer Black.

All in all this is a great speaker for the price,even if you are on a budget you should be able to afford it.

Trying to find a good pair of speakers for your computer? Are you tired of listening to videos on youtube and music online without getting a desirable sound? I totally understand why you are searching for better sound. We are going to take a look at the logitech s120 2.0 multimedia speakers. Let’s look at the pros and cons as well as some great ideas for use in your every day life.

While reviewing the Logitech s120 2.0 multimedia speakers I noticed there were a lot of mixed feelings about the speakers. The cheap price was a high interest point that most people looked at and their buying was highly motivated by this. What about after the purchase though? What about after the speakers were no longer in their pretty package and it was time to attach them to the computer? The user’s manual seemed to confuse some people a little bit. It talks about a green plug and a pink plug but none of the buyers could find a pink plug. The speakers worked when the green plug from the speakers was plugged into the pc. Strange, I haven’t known Logitech to over look such things but hey… there is a first time for everything!

After the little bother with the user’s manual most customer’s seemed to be pretty pleased with their purchase. As we all know however if you buy more expensive speakers you are going to get a better sound and this was a common comment from the consumers.

My niece going off to college recently has brought the fact to my mind that there are many college students that have a tiny living space. Huge speakers are not an option so these speakers might be a good one for her and other students. Especially if they are short on cash AND space.

Some of the features and tech details are listed below :

The Products Features

* Product Type - Speaker

*Systems Components - 2.0 Speaker System

* Response Bandwidth - 50Hz-20KHz

* Nominal Output Power (Total) — 2.3 Watt

* OEM Packaging

Details that are Technical

* Speaker Type: Computer Speakers

* Speaker Setup: 2 - Speakers

From my stand point these speakers are a great idea if you are on a tight but if you can afford the more expensive speakers that would be the better option.

Since you are looking for front home theater speakers I am going to guess that you want to buy separate speakers instead of satellite speakers. Satellite speakers come in packs that are anywhere from 3 to 8 speakers. Satellite speakers may be a better option than just buying front home theater speakers. This is because you would be able to be sure that the speakers would work together properly.

There are a couple of things that should be considered while you are looking for the right speakers for you. Now let’s take a look at those and then you will be able to make a more informed decision.

#1 Warranty

A very important factor that you want to look at is the warranty that the manufacturer offers. This warranty can ( in my own opinion ) show you a lot about the quality of the speaker system or speaker.

While there are many different warranty ranges on speakers the most common warranty length is 3 months longer. Anything less than 3 months - I would pass. The warranty does depend on the company and you will have to look at each speaker’s warranty individually.

#2 Fit and Placement

Another factor in your next speaker purchase would be the placement and fit of the speakers. Even if you have the best sounding speakers you can not enjoy them if they do not fit in your entertainment center or if they can’t go where you wanted them to be placed.

At times we get really excited and we don’t think about this factor. You need to remember this one however. When buying online,the website that you buy from should have the dimensions of the speakers and you will be able to check them easily.

Now that you know a couple of things that will help in your next speakers purchase,make sure that you read through some reviews on whatever speaker or speakers system in which you are interested. Get the best advice on buying.

Pulling staff from their duties at any time is a tough call, much less in a challenging economy as we have today. Yet senior managers with a commitment to excellent employee management are doing just that. They are providing a brief intermission from the hectic day to day for their employees by providing speech presentations on a wide array of topics related and unrelated to their job.

There is a wide array of speaker choices to give information talks that will motivate and refresh your staff to think in a creative manner about your business. Don’t worry about finding someone directly related to your company’s field. There are many presentations available that will complement what you do. Employees can grow creatively and sales will be positively affected upon hearing new ideas that can be applied to their everyday jobs.

Keep the following in mind when looking for a speaker for your company or group:

1. Nuts and Bolts.

Communicate the exact date, time, and location up front when talking with potential speakers. In addition, make sure to communicate from the start how long you would like the presentation to be. This may all sound simplistic, but so often a manager gets well into the planning only to find out that the speaker is not available when needed, or can’t stay as long as required.

It will also help if you can give the speaker an estimate of attendees and details about the group they will be talking to. This will help them to target their presentation to the audience and give them a better and more meaningful experience.

2. Excitement Building.

Have the speaker provide an outline of their presentation so that you can start spreading the word of the event among employees. Flyers, enticing emails describing the event and other promotion all works well. Offer food and other perks that will make it fun. Bottom line is to make sure the employees see the event as a benefit to them rather than something that management is making them do.

3. Speaker Payments.

If you have allocated funds to pay a speaker, your options will be greater. Speakers typically charge a set rate for in area and out of area speeches. If out of their area, many may request travel compensation as well, and if you want an extra long presentation they may charge more.

Don’t worry if cost is a factor. Speaking rates vary greatly and are typically negotiable if you are able to provide other forms of compensation. Many speakers’ ultimate goal is not the fee, but rather the potential customers for their products and services.

Two classic forms of non-fee compensation are to support the sale of the speaker’s products or services to those in attendance, or to even purchase a book or product for every one there.

You will find many other methods to pay a speaker when funds are low. You might consider inviting your customers or those in your office complex to create a larger group for the speaker. You could also obtain the names and contact information of everyone attending so that the speaker can perform their own follow up. Many speakers are grateful to receive a great testimonial and entre to similar groups that you know through your personal referral.

It takes some effort and time to set up a speaker session your employees will enjoy and get value from, but it is a great way to build positive energy and increase commitment among your staff. Always emphasize the value to your employees and your dedication to their personal development. The ultimate rewards to the company’s bottom line can be extraordinary.

Driving can be miserable if it is boring and seems like a job. Most people enjoy driving, but usually only if they can listen to music. It provides entertainment, while still letting them drive safely. It is nowhere near as dangerous as talking on a cell phone or texting while driving. Car radios are geared for safety. They make them easy for the driver to use and make changes by just pushing a button. If you have an MP3 player, you can even use it to play music of your choice. The most important thing to have, though, is a great set of car speakers.

A lot of people do not like to drive if they cannot listen to music, while doing so. But, if the sound quality is bad, then there is really no point. You can buy vehicles with great built-in stereos, but most have very poor speakers. No matter how good the music, it will still sound terrible. Speaker quality can really affect your enjoyment factor.

The ones that come installed in vehicles are usually not of very high quality. They will provide basic sound, but little else. For a real music experience, you have to invest in better quality speakers. In most cases, there are a few choices available that will just add to the price of the car. Sometimes, they are not much better, though. In this case, you have to shop elsewhere. This necessitates taking care of your own installation.

The ones you choose should really depend on the quality of sound you wish to enjoy. Finding the right ones can be difficult. The market has been flooded with choices from various companies. The price will also vary, depending on the model and features. There are some that are compact and do everything. There are more involved sets that allow more intricate sound adjusting.

Coupling subwoofers with a set of speakers can really help improve things. They can, however, recreate a real great listening experience in your vehicle. Using both provides incredible sound quality.

There are not as many possible options with regular, basic speakers. This can also create problems with the audio levels. Quieter sounds are much harder to hear. Louder ones can become tinny and sound odd.

This is why people are fans of music and spend a lot of time in their cars put a lot of thought into it. They want to make sure every sound is clear as a bell. If you are not sure which ones are the best investment, then just look online. You can find many sites that offer reviews of tested products. They will tell you what music they performed the best with and the approximate price. This is a great way to save a lot of time.

If you want to enjoy great music in your car, you need a great set of car speakers. Even if you enjoy driving, it can be more fun with some great music. Music lovers know that a great song helps make everything better.
